In a surprising partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana alongside several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's newest free story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe introduces a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
